iPhone & iPad users: Launch the default Twitter app on your iOS 8 device and you will notice that the screen keeps loading, with no status updates from your Twitter friends. In short, your Twitter timeline has no tweets.
We experienced this new Twitter bug after updating to iOS 8.0.2 firmware. Note that switching to faster Internet network like LTE/3G/WiFi doesn’t solve this problem (oh yes, we know iOS 8 has no 2G Internet option).
Solution? Use your computer to access Twitter. That is probably not the best way to get rid of the “blank screen problem” but that’s how we did it. Another solution for iPhone and iPad users is to use Safari browser and login to the Twitter mobile website.
These are not quite the “fix” you want, but both Apple and Twitter hasn’t acknowledged this bug yet. And so, we users are left with no option but to wait for another update of either iOS 8 or Twitter app.
Facebook is another app on iOS 8 that takes forever to load the content, but that was before an iOS 8 optimized version was released.
