A new version of WhatsApp Messenger for iOS is available.
You may want to update to this version for several reasons. First, it brings one major improvement and fixes yet another major problem.
Second, every WhatsApp update (and even Facebook) fixes bugs and security issues.
More importantly, these updates are tweaked further for better performance.
Take the previous WhatsApp Messenger update, which not only fixes the crashing problems but also makes the messenger run faster.
Update WhatsApp Messenger on Your iOS 8 Device
Now that we have established that updating WhatsApp is very important, let us see what’s new in the WhatsApp version 2.11.11:
Two new addition to WhatsApp Messenger for iOS are as follows:
- Improvement in chat search
- Notifications alerts reduced
The ability to archive chats, add captions to images, share location and automatically download media from the earlier version exists in this version.
And what’s the size? This WhatsApp Messenger update is 49.7MB. That’s a bit heavy for just another update, right?
If you haven’t downloaded WhatsApp yet, you can do so by visiting the App Store icon from your iOS device. If you want to update from 2.11.9 to the new 2.11.11 version, then launch App Store and go to the Updates section. Click the Update button to begin downloading WhatsApp on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Problems? The new screen takes time to load and the WhatsApp fonts are still big. If you don’t like it, you can try changing the font size from the settings.
The good news? After running WhatsApp through the Battery Usage option, we don’t see this app consuming a lot of battery life. And does it crash? In our “quick” test, WhatsApp never crashes or even freezed. We are lucky? Some say so.
If you have installed the new WhatsApp, and face any problems, feel free to share them with us.
