How To Create, Edit, Delete Music Playlists in iOS 8

Using the new Music app in iOS 8.4? Then learn what it takes to create, edit, and delete the music playlist on your iPhone / iPad with the step-by-step instructions given below.

Steps For Creating Playlist:

  • Launch the Music app
  • From the top, select Playlists (next to Library)
  • In the middle-right, under “All Playlists” – select New
  • Enter the title of your playlist and add description (optional)
  • Add songs by tapping on the “+” button
  • Click Done

Now your new playlist is saved. You can access it by going to Playlists section from the top and look into the “Recently Added” section. Your playlist name should appear here.

Steps For Editing Playlist:

  • Launch the Music app
  • From the top, select Playlists (next to Library)
  • Select the playlist you want to edit (in this case, it’s iOS 8 Release)
  • Tap on the Edit link
  • Add or delete the songs

You can also shuffle the songs, re-order them and add more songs to the current playlist. After you are done editing, click “Done” to save the playlist.

Steps To Deleting Playlist:

  • Launch the Music app
  • From the top, select Playlists (next to Library)
  • In the middle of the screen, notice the Edit link
  • Tap on this to get a new page with the list of playlists
  • Tap on the red colored minus icon to delete the complete playlist

Note that you are deleting the playlist here, so even songs will be removed from the playlist (but they will not be removed from your device).
