The Only iOS 8 Website That Delivers

Last updated: August 29, 2015 at 0:38 am

Update 29th August, 2015: We have iOS 8.1, iOS 8.2, iOS 8.3, iOS 8.4 and iOS 8.4.1 available for download now. Next upcoming version will most likely be the new iOS 9 that will be released this fall (September, 2015).

Update September 17th, 2014: Apple has officially released iOS 8.0 firmware. Check out our guide to install iOS 8 and the iOS 8 release date page to get iOS 8 firmware! :-)

Are you here to learn more about iOS 8 release? Then this is the only website you should read. The idea here is simple: we deliver information, and you consume it.

For example, if you want to know when is iOS 8 coming out, then we suggest you to go through our iOS 8 Release Date page. In that page you will find complete information on iOS 8 (both stable and beta firmwares).

Now, before we go any further, you must be wondering why did we create a website around iOS 8? It’s an interesting story you will love.

As you probably know, Apple has truly revolutionized the smartphone industry. Take Joe, a normal software engineer, who was very excited to get his first Apple iPod Touch 2G. It gave him this unusual taste that no other music players ever could, and so he quickly became a fan of Apple devices.

Then he bought his first Apple iPhone 3G, which he believed was the best smartphone on the entire planet. Back then, it probably was.

His sweet love for Apple devices didn’t stop here. He bought all the new iPhones and even an iPad. On Christmas, he would gift iPod Touch and mini iPads to his sisters and cousins.

It did burn a hole in his pocket, but it was worth it. However…

Not Everything Is Honey In The Apple iOS Land

Joe was constantly worried about one thing (apart from his “demanding” work life). The battery life of the Apple devices were not that great anymore. He was further disappointed to learn that a fully-charged battery of his iPhone couldn’t even last for 6 hours.

On top of that, his old devices required software updates. Without which, most of the apps and games never worked!

There was another problem. When Apple released iOS 7 update, he found the installation process tricky (as he had never installed an update of iOS before). After a long midnight struggle, he figured that iOS 7 firmware did not support his iPod Touch.

Tough luck!

What was more frustrating was that he had to learn all this the hard way — he was sitting for hours in front of his computer to download the iOS firmware and then struggle several more hours to learn how to install it.

He never really found a good resource or tutorial that could explain to him everything in simple words, and this is how the idea to launch…

iOS 8 Release Website Was Born

As an Apple fan, I came up with this blog where we talk only about iOS 8. My name is “Sid” and I am another Apple fan. On this website, we have articles that are written in simple language, to make sure people like Joe (who is still a very good friend of mine) could access, implement, and quickly digest the information.

iOS8Release is the first dedicated source on iOS 8 operating system. Through this website you will get to learn everything from iOS release dates to new upgrades, tutorials and problems that come with Apple’s iOS 8.

We publish useful articles so that you stay relevant with what’s happening in the iOS land. If we may say so, we are the most up-to-date website on iOS 8.

When we started this website, thousands of visitors poured in, reading what was useful to them. If you are “new” to iOS 8, we have dedicated sections just to get you started.

For example, you will discover:

  • Simple ways to install iOS 8 on your Apple devices using both standard and shortcut methods.
  • Quick look at the rich iOS 8 features (if you haven’t watched the Apple video yet, you should do it right now!)
  • List of common iOS 8 problems that are told by consumers, something which Apple never admits publicly.

And there’s more… we have a blog (you can see in the sidebar) where you will get all the latest news on iOS 8.

But that’s not all.

You don’t have to know all the technical details of iOS 8. We are not developer-focused, so we will avoid the geeky details for you. As mentioned earlier, we use simple language, and write like we talk.

You will also find so many websites and blogs out there talking about Apple products in general. In fact, apart from the official Apple website, there are big websites like Techcrunch that covers news better than us, but they are “reporters” and “journalists.” While we are simply Apple fans.

When we first started this website, we knew that we have to follow KISS formula — Keep It Simple Stupid. And we aim to live by that formula.

Not only that. If you have anything on your mind, feel free to drop a comment or connect with us. We will make sure your queries are answered and we give you exactly what you want: more of concrete iOS 8 information and less of rumours. For now, to get started, head over to the iOS 8 release date page to learn about iOS 8.

If you want to, we recommend you to bookmark this blog so that it is easier to access next time.
